Claire graduated with a bachelors degree in dentistry from UCC in 1984. She has worked in the Health Service and in private practice in both Ireland and the UK. She was awarded Master of Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from Kings College, University of London in 2009. Prosthodontics is the area of dentistry concerned with advanced crown and bridgework, dentures and implants. Claire has also completed a postgraduate certificate in dental implants with the Oxford Society of Implantology conducted by Professor Manuel Chanavaz.
Mairead graduated from University College Cork with an honours bachelor degree in dentistry. After graduation she worked in both private and public practice in Ireland. Mairead continued her postgraduate training in the Cork University Hospital where she gained experience in on-call emergency and maxillofacial dentistry. She completed her membership in the faculty of dental surgeons with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2008 and recently attended the Facial Aesthetic Academy in London for training in the use of use of dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections.
Arran qualified as a hygienist in 1998 from the dental school in UCC. She has over 10 years experience in providing private hygiene services in dental practices in Cork and Kerry. Arran has also worked in the research department of the dental school and particpated in a number of research projects into various aspects of periodontal disease. She is dedicated to providing gentle hygiene services to our patients giving them the information and motivation to maintain the health of their gums. Arran has recently completed a course giving an update on current dental nursing and hygenist practices as well as the clinical application of Facial Aesthetic techniques. She has worked with Claire since 2003.
Denise has more than three years dental nursing experience and has completed several occupational courses including first aid, current requirements on the prevention of cross infection, conscious sedation and an update on current dental nursing practices. She would be happy to address any concerns that you have about your dental health and let you know about your dental options available at our practice.
Celine has more than three years dental nursing experience in Ireland and Australia. She has recently completed an occupational course giving an update on current dental nursing practices. Eithne Horgan is our receptionist who will welcome you and manage your appointments. Eithne is responsible for our computerised practice management system which adminsters all appointments, billing and documentation. She has recently completed an occupational first aid course as well as various clinical courses including conscious sedation and an update on current dental nursing practices. She has worked with Claire since 2007.
